    Due to the arrangement of attachment elements, the height of the drawer side walls can be increased and thus the effective receiving volume of the drawer can be increased. The attachment elements may be formed, for example, as hollow profiles with a profile inner wall and a profile outer wall or as a decorative, plate-shaped inserts made of glass, wood, metal, plastic or ceramic.
    In a known drawer according to DE 201 10 531 U1, a top frame can be attached to a drawer without tools. At the front end of the top frame an expansion dowel is arranged for this purpose, which is initially inserted in a pre-drilled bore of the front panel and then expandable by lateral pivoting of the top frame within this hole. By a further pivoting movement of the attachment frame, a holding device arranged on the rear end region of the attachment frame can be snapped onto the drawer rear wall.
    The object of the invention is that a drawer can be optionally equipped with an attachment element, in particular even if the drawer front panel, the drawer side walls and the drawer rear wall have already been assembled to form a common unit.     According to the invention it is thus provided that the fitting body has at least one attachment point for attachment to the front panel and a recess for receiving the attachment element, wherein the attachment element after insertion of the fitting body on the front panel in the recess of the fitting body can be introduced.
    In this way, the fitting body can first be set on the intended attachment point on the back of the front panel, the attachment element can then be inserted into the intended recess after mounting of the fitting body and fixed relative to the front panel.     In Fig. 3b, the attachment element 12 is located within the recess 15 of the fitting body 13. At the rear end of the attachment element 12, a fastening device 16 is mounted, by which the attachment element 12 is to be fastened relative to the rear wall 11.     By a further pivoting movement of the attachment element 12 in the direction of the drawer center, therefore, the attachment element 12 can assume a position, as shown in FIG. 3c. The fastening device 16 has in the illustrated embodiment, two manually operable gripping elements 17a and 17b, which fix the attachment element 12 relative to the rear wall 11 positively and / or non-positively in a locking position and which release the attachment element 12 relative to the rear wall 11 in a release position.     Fig. 4a shows the back of the front panel 8, to which the fitting body 13 is to mount. The fastening device 16 may be integrally formed of plastic in its entirety, which is easily possible by an injection molding process.
